Kaniya, which means "crab house", is a restaurant specializing in crab-based cuisine. They serve a variety of dishes prepared in the traditional Hokkaido style, including crab tofu, crab sashimi, and shaomai. In particular, Kaniya's signature dish, crab hotpot, boasts a deep and rich flavor using the chef's secret broth.

Kaniya serves king crabs with thick, savory meat, hairy crabs with green intestines, and queen crabs with sweet meat. In particular, they say they use the highest quality king crabs, caught only for one week a year off the coast of Portomora.
