BESTYou can ride Randen all day for 500 yen. It is 220 yen per ride, so if you plan to ride Randen 3 or more times, it would be a good idea to purchase it. They also give coupons for discounts and souvenirs at various tourist attractions. I don't know if there are coupons in English, but since they're in Japanese, it might be a little difficult to use if you don't know Japanese.
It would be a shame not to ride it in Kyoto.

Why we recommend the Randen train
There are several ways to get from Kyoto to the final destination, Irashiyama Station, but I highly recommend taking the Randen train. The reason is that you can fully feel the romance of the travel destination on the way to Arashiyama!
Randen train route information
The Landen Train is a vintage tram with a long history that has been in operation since 1910. It currently operates on a route from Shijo-Omiya Station to Arashiyama Station. There are two types of Randen trains: purple trains and gold trains. They move slowly, making them great for viewing the scenery outside the window.

Recommended travel destinations by Randen train
If you take the Randen train to Arashiyama Station, be sure to visit the 'Kimono Forest'! Especially at night, the lights come on so you can take prettier photos. Recently, the popularity of Kimono Forest has been rapidly increasing, so I highly recommend visiting it with the Randen Train Free Pass.
