Death Railway with a sad history
The Death Railway in Kanchanaburi is a railway connecting Thailand and Myanmar, and is a place with a sad history built by the Japanese during World War II. The Death Railway is about 415km long and was built in harsh conditions and with insufficient equipment. Due to the harsh conditions and inhumane labor intensity, more than 100,000 people lost their lives during the construction of the railway, which is why it was called the Death Railway. Currently, some sections of the Death Railway operate trains for tourists, allowing you to feel the traces of that time and look back on that painful history.
