The Osaka National Museum of Art is hosting two exhibitions: the special exhibition 'Imagination in the 21st Century' and the permanent exhibition 'Collection Highlights.' The special exhibition 'Imagination in the 21st Century' focuses on the changing face of art in the 21st century. Twenty-five years have passed since the tumultuous 20th century gave way to a new century, and in that time, our worldviews and values have undergone remarkable changes. This exhibition offers a chance to look back at humanity's first steps into the new millennium through a variety of works born from these changes. It will be an opportunity to rethink where we stand now, looking at the world through art and art through the world.
The permanent exhibition 'Collection Highlights' features major works from the National Museum of Art's collection, as well as recently acquired pieces. Starting with the practices of artists from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, such as Paul Cézanne and Max Ernst, to works by contemporary artists such as Joseph Beuys, Takashi Murakami, Maureen Gallace, and Maria Farrar! It is an exhibition where you can appreciate the flow of modern and contemporary art and its diverse expressions at a glance.

Ticket Option Information

Tickets are available as general admission tickets and discounted night tickets. Discounted night tickets are available for entry between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Fridays and are approximately 200 yen cheaper than general tickets. Book the ticket option you want and enjoy easy entry on the day!
