✨Nakatsu Castle Admission Ticket
Nakatsu Castle is one of Japan's three major water castles built by Kuroda Kanbei, a genius military strategist of the Warring States period. In the Edo period, the prestigious Okudaira family, who showed bravery in the Battle of Nagashino and Shitarahara, were the lords of the castle. In modern times, it has been selected as one of Japan's 100 famous castles, and landscape designer Kazuyuki Ishihara, praised as the Green Magician by the late Queen Elizabeth, has redeveloped it into Japan's only flower castle, Nakatsu Castle (Okudaira History Museum). You can learn about the history from the Warring States period to the Edo period, and visit the castle with beautiful flowers 365 days a year.
