Depart from Waikiki in the early morning
for Diamond Head

Board the shuttle at your chosen pickup location in or near Waikiki between 5:00 AM and 5:10 AM and head to Diamond Head. You can conveniently reach the trailhead without the hassle of driving yourself or searching for parking.

Upon arrival at Diamond Head, you'll walk the trail at your own pace with a self-guided approach. Enjoy the evolving Hawaiian morning scenery as you ascend to the summit.

As you get closer to the summit, the trail includes stairs and inclined sections. At the summit lookout, you can admire the sweeping vista of Waikiki, the Honolulu cityscape, and the blue Pacific Ocean. Capture some memorable travel photos against this stunning backdrop.

Return to Waikiki early after your hike

Once you've enjoyed the views from the summit, descend along the same trail and take the shuttle back to Waikiki at the designated time.

Starting early in the day helps you avoid the intense midday sun and heat. If the schedule proceeds as planned, you'll be back near your hotel around 8 AM, leaving ample time for breakfast, the beach, shopping, or other activities.
