Take a high-speed catamaran from Cairns to Green Island, a 6,000-year-old coral cay on the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy one SeaWalker helmet dive, walking on the seabed at a depth of about 5 m on a shallow reef just off the island. Choose either snorkeling gear hire or a glass-bottom boat coral viewing tour to see the reef. Spend the rest of your time relaxing on the rainforest boardwalks, white sandy beach and island pool.

Cruise by catamaran
to the coral cay of Green Island
Board an air-conditioned high-speed catamaran at the Reef Fleet Terminal in Cairns and head to Green Island. The trip takes about 45 minutes each way, and morning tea and coffee are served on board before departure from Cairns. Boats leave Cairns at 8:30 AM or 10:30 AM and return from Green Island at 2:30 PM or 4:30 PM. Depending on your option, you spend half a day or up to 7 hours on the island.
Walk on the seabed with a SeaWalker helmet dive

A 3-minute boat ride takes you to the SeaWalker platform moored on the shallow reef off Green Island. Around the coral bommie about 520 m from the beach, you wear a helmet and walk on the sea floor at a depth of about 5 m (16 ft), seeing coral and marine life up close.
See the reef by snorkeling or glass-bottom boat

Choose either snorkeling gear hire or a glass-bottom boat coral viewing tour. With snorkeling gear you can snorkel right off the white sandy beach, and on the glass-bottom boat you can see the coral and marine life without getting wet.
Enjoy free time on rainforest trails and the beach

Explore the Green Island National Park boardwalks and self-guided eco trail, home to more than 120 species of native plants and birds. A marine biologist reef presentation and island walk, as well as the island pool, are available exclusively to Great Adventures guests.
Day visitor facilities on the island include a pool bar, dive shop, restaurant and eateries where you can buy lunch, snacks and drinks. Optional activities such as scuba diving, boat snorkeling tours, canoeing and scenic helicopter flights can be added at extra cost, and Marineland Melanesia crocodile habitat is also on the island.
※ Sea turtles and other marine life live in the wild, so sightings are not guaranteed.
※ Time on the island and departure/return times depend on the option you book.
