At the very beginning I was worried about jumping into a helicopter as this was my first time but boy was I scared for nothing! The whole flight Steve was amazing. He let myself and group know about every upcoming turn/bumpy parts, he gave us amazing commentary throughout the whole flight and he even made the best photographer! This experience is definitely worth every dollar. Amazing customer service from both the driver and the ladies at the front desks.

Highlights

Take off from Queenstown on a helicopter flight of about 50 minutes over the glaciers of Mount Aspiring National Park. Fly over Skippers Canyon and the Rees Valley and look down on glaciers, icefalls and hidden alpine lakes. Earnslaw Burn, where countless waterfalls cascade from hanging glaciers, is also known as a filming location for The Lord of the Rings. During the flight, you land on a glacier and can take photos surrounded by towering peaks and pristine ice.

Take off from Queenstown and head
to Mount Aspiring National Park

Take off from the helicopter base in Frankton. If you selected the pickup option, travel to the base by bus from a designated pickup point in Queenstown. After take-off, fly over the rugged cliffs of Skippers Canyon and the braided rivers of the Rees Valley deep into Mount Aspiring National Park.

Look down on glaciers, icefalls and alpine lakes
