Program
Take off from Frankton and
fly over the Wakatipu Basin
Board the helicopter at the Heliworks base on Grant Road in Frankton. After take-off, fly over Queenstown and the Wakatipu Basin and take in the alpine scenery of mountains, lakes and valleys. Your experienced local pilot provides live commentary during the flight.
Land in the snowy alpine terrain
Land on snow high in the mountains above Queenstown and stay for about 10 minutes. Breathe in the crisp winter air, take photos and enjoy some fun in the snow, like a snowball fight.
Fly back over Queenstown to the base
On the way back, enjoy more views of Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu before returning to the Grant Road base. The whole flight takes about 30 minutes and is a shared scenic flight with 6–9 passengers.
