Spend your free time in Kaikoura your way

Enjoy about 4 hours of free time in Kaikoura. Your guide will suggest a few ways to make the most of the day. Browse the boutiques and local shops in the township, or take a leisurely walk along the Kaikoura Peninsula to see New Zealand fur seals and a variety of seabirds. If you are lucky, you may even spot a pod of dolphins.
You can also visit Mangamaunu Bay, a popular surf spot with great views of the Pacific Ocean. Your guide can help book whale watching (by boat or plane), dolphin spotting, kayaking and eco-zipline experiences, which are charged separately.
Visit Gore Bay and Cathedral Cliffs on the way back

On the return to Christchurch, stop at Gore Bay and the Cathedral Cliffs viewpoint for about 5 minutes each to take photos. Time permitting, visit a family-run winery in Waipara, a wine region surrounded by vineyards and green hills, to taste local wines. Beer and non-alcoholic drinks are also available.
The tour ends back in Christchurch at your drop-off point. Lunch, bottled water and New Zealand snacks are included.
※ Wildlife such as seals, dolphins and seabirds live in the wild, so sightings are not guaranteed.
※ Whale watching, dolphin spotting, kayaking and eco-zipline experiences are not included and must be booked and paid for separately.
