Program
Hotel pickup and
a Mt. Fuji itinerary of your own
You are picked up from your hotel lobby within Tokyo's 23 wards and set off in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Your English-speaking driver acts as your guide and adjusts the route to your preferences and to traffic, weather and road conditions. The tour takes about 10-11 hours including pickup and drop-off, with Wi-Fi, bottled water and coffee available on board.
The sights below are listed in the recommended order. Spending longer at one place may mean skipping later stops, and you do not have to visit every listed sight.
Itinerary A: Chureito Pagoda and sights around Mt. Fuji
Visit Chureito Pagoda overlooking Mt. Fuji (45 min), Arakurayama Sengen Shrine (30 min), Oshino Hakkai with its clear spring ponds (45 min), and Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine, linked to Mt. Fuji worship (30 min).
You can also stop at Lake Kawaguchi (45 min), Honcho Street (30 min), Lawson Kawaguchiko (20 min) and the natural lava cave of Narusawa Ice Cave (45 min). Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Nenba and Oishi Park (45 min each), Gotemba Premium Outlets (90 min) and the Mt. Fuji 5th Station (60 min) are optional and visited if time allows.
Itinerary B: Mt. Fuji and Hakone together
Visit Hakone Shrine beside Lake Ashi (45 min) and enjoy the lake and mountain views at Lake Ashi (45 min). You can also include Owakudani, a volcanic valley with steam vents and sulfur (60 min), the Hakone Ropeway over the volcanic landscape (60 min), and the Hakone Open-Air Museum surrounded by mountains (90 min).
Drop-off where you like and return to Tokyo
At the end of the tour, you can be dropped off at your hotel or another location within Tokyo's 23 wards. Admission fees and ropeway fares are not included and are paid on site.
