In this relaxed workshop at a studio in the heart of the city, you make your own chopsticks from natural wood. Choose your favorite from more than 10 types of wood, or upgrade to premium wood for an extra charge.

Shape and smooth them with traditional tools

Following step-by-step guidance from the staff, shape the wood with traditional tools and techniques and smooth the surface to finish your chopsticks. The process is simple and fun, so beginners with no experience can join. You can also have your name engraved for an extra charge.

Learn about Japanese chopstick culture

Learn how chopsticks are used in daily life, why shape and material matter, and how chopstick etiquette reflects Japanese values. At the end of the session, your handmade chopsticks are nicely wrapped for you to take home the same day, to use right away or give as a gift.
