On October 24, the day of the Tokyo Bay Grand Fireworks Festival, enjoy the fireworks from the water on a dinner cruise aboard a yakatabune, a traditional Japanese pleasure boat. Around 12,000 fireworks are planned and viewing spots on land are expected to be crowded, but you can relax in your seat on board. Have an early dinner of party-style dishes such as tempura and sashimi, with unlimited beer, shochu, sake and soft drinks. You can also step out onto the open deck to watch the fireworks, and an English-speaking guide accompanies the tour.

Program

Meet in Shinagawa
and board the yakatabune

Meet your English-speaking guide at 3:00 PM at O-Edo (Funasei Building), a 12-minute walk from the Konan Exit of Shinagawa Station. Board the traditional yakatabune at the pier at 3:45 PM and depart at 4:00 PM.

Enjoy an early dinner of tempura and sashimi

Once the boat sets off, sit on tatami seating and enjoy an early party-style dinner with dishes such as tempura and sashimi. Beer, shochu, sake and soft drinks are refilled without limit.

Watch the fireworks festival from the water

The boat arrives at the fireworks viewing point around 4:20 PM, and the show of about 12,000 fireworks begins at 5:30 PM. Instead of the crowded spots on land, watch comfortably from inside the boat or head out to the open deck.

Return to Shinagawa after the show

When the fireworks end around 7:00 PM, the boat returns to the terminal. The tour ends around 8:00 PM back at O-Edo (Funasei Building).
