The Kyushu Basho is one of the six annual grand sumo tournaments in Japan and is held every November at Fukuoka Kokusai Center. Meet your guide at the meeting point, walk about 5 minutes to the arena together, and watch the bouts for about 4 hours.

Understand sumo easily
with live English commentary

Your English-speaking guide stays with you inside the arena during the tournament and gives live commentary on sumo rules, traditions, and match highlights through an audio earphone guide system. You also receive the English guidebook "The SUMO", which covers sumo history, culture, and wrestlers, plus the official banzuke (ranking sheet).

Enjoy the bouts from your chosen seat

Choose from Chair Seat S in the front section of the 3rd floor, Chair Seat B(C) on the east or west side of the 3rd floor, or Masu Box Seat C for 4 people on the 2nd floor. Chair Seat C is located further back than Chair Seat B, on the side of the arena. Specific seat locations or seat numbers cannot be selected.
