Radim was a great and funny guide. He showed us different shrines, temples, and other very interesting areas, landmarks, and cultural items in Fukuoka, explaining the significance and history of each. He also answered several of our questions and gave additional tips on what to see in the city.

Meet at Hakata Station
and head to the oldest Zen temple in Kyushu

The tour begins when you meet your guide at Hakata Station or your hotel. Walk to Shofukuji, the oldest Zen temple in Kyushu, to admire its serene architecture and stroll its peaceful grounds. You will also see Tochoji, known for its magnificent Buddha statue.

Feel Hakata's energy at Kushida Shrine and Kawabata Arcade

Kushida Shrine, Fukuoka's main shrine and the center of the Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival, is lively all year round. Hear about its history and take a close look at the intricate details of its buildings.
