Fukuoka Nakasu Shogetsudo Hakata Doll Painting Experience

Lovely experience. The woman is very lovely!

We planned to do this activity to escape the heat. We arrived early and the lady looking after the shop welcomed us and allowed us to start. She showed us how to do it and provided the laminated paper with the instructions on how to start painting. We really enjoyed the activity. A great time to spend some relaxed time while making our own souvenir of Fukuoka/Hakata. The shop also had really good Hakata dolls, showing us how the professionals do it compared to ours 😆

This was very much what I needed, after days of rushing it was very nice to relax and paint my doll. The owner was the sweetest too, even though I didn’t speak much japanese she was very understanding :))

We coloured dolls and it was a really lovely experience for all of us. Our sensei (teacher) was very kind and very patient! It was also nice to practice Japanese with her. It is a nice opportunity to simply break away from all that hustle and bustle.
