Fukuoka Hakata Japanese Lesson & Calligraphy and Origami Culture Experience

Learn Japanese language and culture
at a language school in Hakata

This approximately 3-hour experience takes place at Ichi語 Language School (Ichigo Language School) near Hakata Station. In a cozy language-school setting, you can interact with local staff and other international visitors while experiencing Japanese language and culture together. Because it is held indoors, you can join year-round regardless of the weather.

Learn everyday phrases in a 45-minute Japanese lesson

The experience begins with a 45-minute Japanese lesson focused on useful everyday expressions and simple conversations you can use during your stay in Japan. Experienced instructors create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, so even complete beginners can enjoy learning.

Try calligraphy, origami, and traditional food making

After the lesson, you will take part in traditional Japanese cultural activities. Experience the day's program from a range of cultural workshops such as Japanese calligraphy, origami, onigiri making, Japanese sweets (dango) making, and tea culture, and keep what you make as a souvenir. A certificate of participation is also available if you wish.

※ Cultural activities may vary depending on the day of the week and the season.
