Beijing Forbidden City Traditional Costume Makeup & Photoshoot with English Guide

Choose a traditional Chinese costume
and get your makeup and styling done

Meet your English-speaking guide at Exit C of Jinyu Hutong Station and walk to the studio. Pick your favorite from a wide range of traditional Chinese costumes, and a professional makeup artist and stylist will do your makeup and styling. Preparation takes about 1.5 hours.

Take photos in front of the red walls of the Forbidden City

With options that include a photoshoot, your guide takes you to photo spots just outside the Forbidden City, around its red walls and moat. Spend about 1 to 1.5 hours posing against a variety of backdrops.

You will receive the original digital photos by email the next day. Choose 5 photos for professional retouching, delivered within 3 business days.

Add a guided Forbidden City tour, depending on your option

Option 3 continues after your morning makeup and photoshoot with an afternoon Forbidden City group tour with an English-speaking guide (entrance ticket included). You can keep wearing your costume during the tour.

After the photoshoot, you may explore other sights in your costume, but all costumes and accessories must be returned to the studio by 6:00 PM. You can also return to the studio with your guide.
