Program
Leave your hotel before dawn
and head to the Jinshanling Great Wall
You'll be picked up from your hotel in central Beijing in the early hours and drive about 2 hours to the Jinshanling Great Wall. Pickup time varies by season between 2:00 and 4:00 AM, and you'll need to provide your hotel name and full address when booking.
Enter through the main gate and watch the sunrise from the wall
After entering through the main gate of the Jinshanling Great Wall, you'll walk to a good spot to watch the sunrise. Before the crowds arrive, you can watch the sun rise over the Great Wall in a peaceful atmosphere.
Hike about 6 km along the wall to the east gate
After sunrise, you'll hike the remaining section on your own. The total hiking distance is about 6 km, and the English-speaking guide does not accompany you during the hike. The tour finishes at the east gate of the Jinshanling Great Wall, and you'll drive about 2 hours back to the city and get off at Dongzhimen subway station.
