Escape the crowds on a private tour of the peaceful Jinshanling Great Wall. An English-speaking guide and private vehicle pick you up at your hotel, and on the wall you can hike as far and as long as you like. The watchtowers, each with a different design, line the mountain ridges, making this section especially popular with photographers and hikers. Entrance fees and a local lunch are included, and you can also choose options that add Mutianyu or Gubei Water Town and Simatai.

Leave your hotel for
the quiet Jinshanling Great Wall
Your English-speaking guide and private vehicle meet you in your hotel lobby at your preferred time. The drive to Jinshanling takes about 2.5 hours, and along the way your guide shares the history and stories of the Great Wall. Enjoy the countryside scenery outside Beijing from the window.
Hike Jinshanling at your own pace

At Jinshanling, enjoy a relaxed walk along the wall with your guide. You decide how far to hike and how long to stay, and your guide stays with you the whole time and takes group photos for you.
The Jinshanling Great Wall is said to have been first built during the Northern and Southern Dynasties, and 67 watchtowers of different designs stand about 150 meters apart on average. As it is relatively undeveloped, you can quietly admire the wall winding like a dragon along the peaks.
Have lunch at a local restaurant

After the hike, have lunch at a local restaurant. The tour ends back at your hotel in downtown Beijing.
Add Mutianyu or Gubei Water Town

With the Mutianyu combo, first ride the chairlift up the wall at Mutianyu, explore the watchtowers for about 1.5 hours and come down by toboggan. After lunch, spend the afternoon hiking Jinshanling. The whole tour takes about 9 to 11 hours.
With the Gubei Water Town and Simatai combo, hike Jinshanling for 2 hours and have lunch, then stroll Gubei Water Town at the foot of the Simatai Great Wall with your guide in the late afternoon. Once an important military base in the Ming and Qing dynasties, Gubei Water Town is now popular for photography and food. You can also take the cable car up to the Simatai Great Wall.
※ Jinshanling has a cable car, but it is not convenient, so a reasonable level of fitness is required.
※ The combo tours with Mutianyu or Simatai have a packed schedule of about 10 hours.
※ Cable car fees are not included.
