China National Acrobatic Troupe at Chaoyang Theatre

"Creating Skills on the Way to the Top," now playing at Chaoyang Theatre, is staged by New China's first national-level acrobatic troupe, founded in 1950, to celebrate its 75th anniversary. It brings together signature works that have won gold medals at international competitions for over 70 years and presents them back to back for about 60 minutes.

Enjoy "Chao Hua Dan," a diabolo act set to Peking Opera rhythms

"Chao Hua Dan," winner of the international "Golden Clown" award, adds Peking Opera rhythms to a diabolo (Chinese yo-yo) performance to express the spirit of Peking Opera. Like the scene where piano melodies meet group acrobatics, the stage combines traditional acrobatics with modern stage technology, music and dance.

See aerial, ground and balance acts that push the limits of the body

You can see a wide range of skills across aerial, ground and balance acts, such as the leaps of "Saint Du - Earth Circle" and the high stacking of "Dreams of the Sky." In "Di Huan," performers seem to defy gravity.
