From Nagoya: Magome-juku & Tsumago-juku Day Bus Tour - Incl. Enakyo Gorge

Depart from Nagoya Station and
explore the old Nakasendo post towns in a day

Meet at 08:20 at the VIPLINER Nagoya bus stop near the Taiko-dori Exit (太閤通口) of Nagoya Station; the bus departs at 08:30. You travel in an air-conditioned vehicle with an English/Chinese-speaking guide. At each stop you explore on your own (self-guided), and the tour ends back at the bus stop where it started.

Walk through the tranquil gardens of Kokeizan Eiho-ji Temple

The first stop is Kokeizan Eiho-ji Temple, set in the quiet countryside. Spend about 1 hour exploring the grounds, where lush gardens meet historic buildings.

Admire the gorge from the Enakyo observation deck

Head up to the Enakyo observation deck and spend about 30 minutes taking photos of the winding river of Enakyo Gorge and the surrounding mountains.

Walk the Edo-period streets of Magome-juku and Tsumago-juku

In Magome-juku, a post town preserved along the old Nakasendo road, you have about 2 hours for lunch and free time. Walk the stone-paved streets lined with traditional wooden buildings and browse shops selling local treats and handicrafts. Lunch is not included.

Then continue to Tsumago-juku, another post town, and freely explore its well-preserved old streets for about 70 minutes before heading back to Nagoya.
