Explore Osaka Castle, one of Japan's most iconic landmarks, inside and out on this guided history tour. Pass through the Aoyamon Gate and over Gokurakubashi Bridge to the massive stone walls, then enter the castle keep without queuing to learn about Osaka's history and Toyotomi Hideyoshi floor by floor. After panoramic views of the city and gardens from the top-floor terrace, walk through the grounds to the Tako-ishi stone, Sakuramon Gate and Hokoku Shrine. An English- or Spanish-speaking guide leads groups of up to 10.

Meet at Osakajokoen Station
and enter through the Aoyamon Gate
The tour begins at the exit of JR Osakajokoen Station, where you meet your guide. Walk from the station to the castle and enter through the Aoyamon Gate, one of the fortress's traditional entrances. Crossing the Gokurakubashi Bridge, you get your first view of the majestic stone walls, an ideal spot for photos and to start learning about the castle's origins and feudal-era importance.
Skip the line into the castle keep
and discover Osaka's history floor by floor

Admission is included, so you enter the castle keep without waiting in the ticket line. Each floor presents a chapter of Osaka's history and Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the key figure behind the castle, with exhibits, artifacts and panels that explain its political and cultural importance.
The interior visit ends on the top-floor terrace, with unique panoramic views over the city and the vast gardens surrounding the castle.
Walk past the Tako-ishi stone and Sakuramon Gate
to Hokoku Shrine

After the keep, continue past MIRAIZA OSAKA-JO, where historic architecture meets a modern atmosphere, to the outer gardens. See the giant Tako-ishi (Octopus Stone), the largest stone used in the castle walls, then walk to the monumental Sakuramon Gate, one of the castle's most photographed entrances.
The tour ends at Hokoku Shrine, dedicated to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, where you can admire its architecture and peaceful atmosphere.
※ On busy days, you may need to wait to enter the castle.
※ The tour runs in all weather; parts may be adjusted in case of rain.
