Ride the direct elevator
to the 103 m observation room

The observation room is on the 31st floor of "Retro Hi-Mart", about a 13-minute walk from JR Mojiko Station. A direct elevator takes you straight up to 103 meters above ground. This is a date-specified ticket, so just show your ticket screen at the 31st-floor ticket counter on the day.

Take in the Kanmon Strait and Mojiko Retro at a glance

Through the glass you can see ships crossing the Kanmon Strait, the historic buildings of Mojiko Retro, the Kanmon Bridge, and Karato Market and the cityscape of Shimonoseki across the water. On some days, you can also watch the sun set over the sea.

Enjoy a night view recognized as Japan Night View Heritage

After dark, the historic buildings around Mojiko Station and the port light up, and you can see the illuminated Kanmon Bridge. The night view here is recognized as a "Japan Night View Heritage". You can also relax with a drink at the café inside the observation room (10:30 to 21:30, last order 21:00).
