Kitakyushu Kimono Rental & Kokura Castle Garden Matcha Affogato Experience - Kokura Castle Admission Included

Change into traditional attire at Lilybell
and stroll around Kokura all day

Visit Lilybell, right in front of Tanga Station on the Kitakyushu Monorail, at any time that suits you. Dressing starts from 9:00 AM, and professional staff will dress you in the yukata, hakama or kimono of the option you booked. You can freely choose from the rental accessories to create your own style, and geta (traditional sandals) are also provided.

Dressing takes about 30 minutes for men and about 60 minutes for women. When choosing your matcha affogato time, please allow enough time for dressing and travel. It is about a 15-minute walk one way from Lilybell to Kokura Castle Garden.

Enjoy a matcha affogato at Kokura Castle Garden

Savor a matcha affogato, with warm premium matcha poured over rich gelato, in the tranquil setting of Kokura Castle Garden. Each session is private for one group (up to 4 people), so you can enjoy a relaxed tea time.

The experience starts at the time you choose when booking (10:00, 11:00, 13:00, 14:00 or 15:00) and takes about 60 minutes, including 15 minutes of preparation (45-minute experience). The garden's engawa (veranda) is a great place for photos in traditional attire.

Go up Kokura Castle keep and look out over Kitakyushu

Admission to both Kokura Castle and Kokura Castle Garden is included, so you can explore the historic castle grounds inside and out. From the castle keep, you can see a panoramic view of Kitakyushu. If you plan to take photos in the garden or visit the castle keep, please allow extra time beyond the experience.

※ During the Kokura Castle Bamboo Lantern Festival (Oct 23 – Nov 3, 2026), the standard ticket included in this product cannot be used to enter Kokura Castle after 17:00.
