Options range from a Terracotta Army Museum entry ticket only, to an on-site guide who meets you at the museum, to a small-group tour with hotel pickup and lunch. With the ticket option, your museum ticket is secured in advance and sent as a digital voucher with all booking details, and a dedicated English-speaking consultant assists you throughout the booking.

Small-group tours have about 12 people, and the on-site guide option has about 15 guests per guide.

Meet in your hotel lobby and head to the Terracotta Army

The small-group tour starts when your guide meets you in the lobby of your downtown Xi'an hotel. Travel about 1 hour to the Terracotta Army in an air-conditioned vehicle while your guide introduces this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The exact pickup time is sent the day before the tour.

Meet the First Emperor's underground army in Pits 1, 2 and 3

Enter early in the morning to avoid the crowds and spend about 3 hours in the museum. See the three pits with around 8,000 life-size warriors, horses and chariots, plus a special exhibition of artifacts. In Pit 1, take in the scale of the vast army and ongoing excavations; in Pit 2, learn how to tell ranks from each warrior's posture and armor; and in Pit 3, see the command center of the entire underground army.

Your guide brings the Qin dynasty and the First Emperor to life with fascinating stories and little-known facts.

Enjoy a lunch buffet and finish at Big Wild Goose Pagoda Square

After the visit, have lunch at a buffet with more than 25 dishes. Choose from local specialties made in the open kitchen, such as Chinese burgers and hand-pulled noodles, Western favorites like macaroni, fried chicken and croissants, as well as pastries, fruit and soft drinks.

After lunch, return to downtown Xi'an and finish the tour at the square in front of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Make your own way back to your hotel; your guide will advise you on transport. On the adjacent Great Tang All Day Mall pedestrian street, you can watch traditional costume performances.
