This 3-day tour departs from Hanoi, spends one night on a cruise, returns to Hanoi for another night and finishes with a city sightseeing tour. On day 1, leave your Hanoi Old Quarter hotel by limousine, check in at the cruise lounge and board a cruise with private-balcony cabins. The route is Ha Long Bay or Lan Ha Bay depending on availability, and an English-speaking guide accompanies you. Meals as per the itinerary, cruise activities and entrance fees are included.

Explore caves and kayak
among limestone islands

Lunch is served on board as you sail between limestone islands. On the Ha Long Bay route, visit Sung Sot Cave and Ti Top Island; on the Lan Ha Bay route, go kayaking and swimming at Dark & Bright Cave (Luon Cave) or Ba Trai Dao Beach, weather permitting.

Sunset, a cooking class
and a night on board

In the late afternoon, enjoy tea or coffee with sunset views and join a cooking class. In the evening, try squid fishing, watch a movie or have a drink at the bar, then spend the night on the cruise. On the morning of day 2, watch the sunrise or join tai chi on deck, have a light breakfast and explore lagoons or caves by kayak depending on the route. Late in the morning, return to the harbor and travel back to Hanoi by limousine, then check in to your hotel and enjoy free time.

with a guide

After breakfast on day 3, visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex (outside only when the mausoleum is closed), One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, with a guide. After lunch at a local restaurant, stroll through the Old Quarter and a local market or around Hoan Kiem Lake. The tour ends in central Hanoi or at your hotel.
