Walk through the heart of Quang Phu Cau, which has produced incense for over 100 years, and watch families making incense by hand. Meet a family specializing in dyeing incense sticks, admire the colorful bundles and take photos. At a nearby factory, learn how incense is made from scratch and about the artisans' lives, and buy incense souvenirs if you like.

On the full-day option
try painting lacquerware

On the full-day option, after lunch at a local artisan's house or a riverside restaurant, head to a lacquerware village. Tour a large family workshop to learn how lacquer art is made from the artisans, and try painting lacquerware yourself at a local artist's home.
