in Quang Phu Cau Incense Village

Walk through the heart of Quang Phu Cau, which has produced incense for over 100 years, and watch local families make incense by hand. Meet a family that specializes in dyeing incense sticks, see the colorful sticks and take home the incense you make with an artisan's help.

The village tours run 07:45-13:30 or 11:45-17:30 (up to 6 hours). On the way back to the city you can get off at Hanoi Train Street if you wish, or stay in the vehicle.

Visit Tam Chuc, Cay Thi and Ba Danh
pagodas on a private tour

The pagoda options are private tours. At the Tam Chuc Pagoda complex, enjoy lake views from a boat with candy and tea, and visit the large bronze Buddha statues, the Tam The, Phap Chu and Quan Am halls, Co Chinh Garden and Thuy Dinh Guesthouse.

Cay Thi Pagoda, on the slope of Ngu Mountain at 115 m above sea level, blends East Asian Zen style with Vietnamese culture. Follow white gravel paths and stone steps past the Zen garden and Quan Am pavilion to the ancient tower housing a 2.5 m black bronze Buddha. Ba Danh Pagoda on the bank of the Day River was built to worship a goddess of good weather and harvests, was renovated under King Le Hy Tong and served as a gathering place for troops and food during the resistance against French colonial rule.
