Hanoi Quang Phu Cau Incense & Chuong Conical Hat Village Tour - Incense Making & Hat Painting

We had an amazing experience on the Incense Village and Hat Village tour! The entire trip was well organised, and everything went smoothly from pickup to the end. The villages were beautiful and unique, especially seeing how the incense sticks are made and the vibrant colours everywhere. It was a wonderful opportunity to experience Vietnamese culture and learn about local traditions. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hanoi who wants to explore beyond the city and experience something truly memorable!

The driver was good, and although he didn’t speak English, he used google translate to introduce himself and what will be happening for the day. When we arrived to the incense village, it was a bit of time before we got to see the demonstrations. There was plenty of time to take photos which was good because there was a lot of groups there, so sometimes the area became crowded. The guides offer to take the photos for you, which was good and they don’t ask for payment to do so. The tour itself was quite rushed and the guide didn’t slow down for those who took more time to walk. Aspects felt rushed and then some aspects felt quite slow, like the waiting to see the incense being made. At the hat painting village, they didn’t time out the activity well enough so everyone had to rush to have a turn ironing out the palm frond. We did however enjoy the painting activity, although it would have been nicer to have a bit more time. The tour guide was friendly and overall we enjoyed it.
