Depart from Maafushi and
explore snorkeling spots in South Malé Atoll
Meet your guide at Maafushi Jetty, get a safety briefing and board the speedboat. A ride of about 20 minutes takes you to the first snorkeling spot. The tour runs in a small group of up to 15 people, and the guide gives safety instructions and support throughout, so even first-time snorkelers can enjoy it with ease.
Meet coral gardens and tropical fish at Biyadhoo Reef
Spend about 2 hours snorkeling and observing marine life around Biyadhoo. Biyadhoo Reef is known for colorful corals, reef fish and rays, and you may sometimes see reef sharks.
Swim with sea turtles at the turtle point
Continue snorkeling in South Malé Atoll for about 2.5 hours. Stop at a turtle point and swim with sea turtles in their natural habitat.
Look for dolphins from the speedboat
Keep an eye on the surrounding waters as you move between snorkeling spots. Pods of dolphins pass through the area, so sightings are common. Enjoy a picnic lunch with soft drinks and receive underwater photos and videos for free. After the tour, a speedboat ride of about 20 minutes brings you back to Maafushi Jetty.

Maafushi is a small island without road traffic, so it is within walking distance of most hotels and guesthouses. At the reception, staff will prepare your equipment and help you get started. If you are staying outside Maafushi, pickup from nearby islands and resorts, including Malé City, can be arranged for an extra fee, so please let them know in advance.
