Highlights
A tour of about 90 minutes around Kitakyushu's sights and scenery aboard a roofless double-decker open-top bus. Departing from the Kokura Station Shinkansen Exit, it passes Kokura Castle and heads to Kitakyushu's signature attraction, Mojiko Retro, and the sea views of the Kanmon Straits. Highlights include Mojiko Station, a National Important Cultural Property, the historic streets, and looking up at the over-1,000 m Kanmon Bridge from right below.
Program
Board a double-decker open-top bus at Kokura Station
and loop around Kitakyushu
The course departs from the Kokura Station Shinkansen Exit stop and returns there after about 90 minutes. It runs twice a day (10:00 and 16:00), and from the open upper deck about 3.8 m high you can enjoy Kitakyushu's sights and scenery. Please arrive at the stop 10 minutes before departure.
Take in Mojiko Retro and the Kanmon Straits
Riding along the Moji coast, you pass Mojiko Station, a National Important Cultural Property, and the historic streets of the port town. You can also enjoy the refreshing sea views of the Kanmon Straits.
Look up at the Kanmon Bridge from right below
Looking up at the over-1,000 m Kanmon Bridge from right beneath it feels even more vivid from a roofless open-top bus. On the way back, you pass Kokura Castle and return to Kokura Station.
