Highlights

The JR West Kansai Mini Pass 3-Day is a WEST QR digital pass that gives you unlimited rides on JR West lines connecting Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and Nara for 3 consecutive days. There is no need to exchange it for a physical ticket at a station counter: simply display the QR code on your smartphone and scan it at the automatic ticket gate to board. It covers Special Rapid, Rapid and Local trains, including the Kansai Airport Rapid, so one pass takes you from the airport into the city and on day trips to Kyoto and Nara. Each adult or child pass holder can bring up to 2 infants aged 1-5 free of charge, making it great for family trips.

Ride Kansai JR lines unlimited for 3 days
with a single smartphone QR code

This digital pass lets you ride JR West Special Rapid, Rapid and Local trains within the valid area as many times as you like for 3 consecutive days from the start date. It is valid from 4:00 on the start date until 24:00 on the last day (Japan time). If the validity ends while you are on a train on the last day, you can continue until you exit the station.

Travel freely between Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and Nara

You can get on and off freely within the valid area, including Osaka, Shin-Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Nara and Kansai Airport stations. Universal City, Saga-Arashiyama, Takarazuka, Tennoji and JR Namba stations are also within the valid area. With the Kansai Airport Rapid, you can also travel from Kansai Airport to central Osaka with this pass.

Scan your QR code at the gate with no station exchange

After receiving your voucher, access the WEST QR user site, create an account and register your ticket information. On the day of use, press the "Use ticket" button after 4:00 to display your boarding QR code, then scan it at the QR reader of the automatic ticket gate. Not every gate has a QR reader, but most major stations have at least one gate with a red QR reader.

※ The Shinkansen cannot be used with this pass, even with an additional fare.
※ A separate limited express ticket is required for limited express trains such as the Kansai Airport Limited Express HARUKA.
※ Green Cars and paid reserved seat services (such as the A-Seat) require an additional fee.

How To Use

Please check your mobile voucher via email or the WAUG app.
Create an account and register your ticket on the WEST QR user site shown on the voucher, then press "Use ticket" on the day of use and scan the QR code at the automatic ticket gate to board.
Valid only on the specified date and time.

WEST QR account registration :
Registration is complete only after you enter the verification code you receive. If you do not receive the verification email, check the domain settings of your registered email address and register again.

How to board :
The "Use ticket" button can be pressed after 4:00 on the day of use. The activated QR code refreshes every 5 minutes, so screenshots or printed QR codes cannot be used. Look for a gate with a red QR reader and scan your smartphone screen.

Riding the Limited Express HARUKA :
The HARUKA cannot be used with this pass alone. On the day of use, buy a HARUKA limited express ticket at a Midori-no-madoguchi (JR ticket office) and ask for a seat reservation at the same time.
