Nishitetsu Dazaifu & Yanagawa Sightseeing Ticket (Fukuoka Airport Pickup)

Visit Dazaifu and Yanagawa
in one trip on the Nishitetsu train

This ticket consists of a "Nishitetsu train round-trip ticket" and a "river boat ticket". You can travel in either order: "Fukuoka → Dazaifu → Yanagawa → Fukuoka" or "Fukuoka → Yanagawa → Dazaifu → Fukuoka". Stopovers are only allowed at Dazaifu Station and Nishitetsu Yanagawa Station.

Dazaifu Tenmangu is the head shrine of about 12,000 Tenmangu shrines across Japan, with historic buildings such as the main hall, gardens and treasure hall throughout the grounds.

Glide down the Yanagawa canals by boat

When you arrive at Nishitetsu Yanagawa Station, go to the "River Cruise Information Desk" next to the 2nd-floor ticket gate, or to the "River Cruise Meeting Point" in the Karatachi shopping arcade right next to the station on the 1st floor. Staff will guide you to the boarding pier. Boats can only be boarded at Yanagawa Kanko Kaihatsu's "Shogetsu Pier", and the cruise takes about 60–70 minutes. From December 1 to the end of February, you can ride a kotatsu-heated boat unless it is raining or snowing.

The cruise is one-way. After getting off at the end point, return to Yanagawa Station by taxi, local bus (fare not included) or the free shuttle bus. The free shuttle bus leaves near the disembarkation point (Okinohata) at 12:00 / 12:30 / 13:00 / 14:00 / 14:30 / 15:00 / 15:30 / 16:00 / 16:30, with extra runs on busy days.

Use the Dazaifu and Yanagawa discount coupons

The ticket includes a "Dazaifu Coupon" and a "Yanagawa Coupon" that give discounts at the facilities listed on them. The "Ariakezuke Honpo special exchange coupon" can be used at "Ariakezuke Honpo" in the Karatachi shopping arcade next to Yanagawa Station, and the "Yanagawa Nishitetsu Taxi 50-yen discount coupon" can be used per passenger on Nishitetsu taxis in Yanagawa.
