Walk through a vast park
recreating tropical regions of the world

Neo Park Okinawa recreates tropical environments of the world, such as the Amazon, Africa and Oceania, on grounds about the size of five Tokyo Domes. About 100 species of animals live here without fences, so you can see them up close as you walk along the paths. At "Thoth's Lake", modeled on Kenya's Lake Nakuru, you can watch birds flying freely inside the flying cage.

Explore the Amazon jungle and rare species area

Pass through a dark tunnel to reach the Amazon Jungle area, which recreates the South American rainforest. Look for the giant arapaima swimming in the underwater tunnel and colorful birds such as scarlet ibises, and look down on the tapir exhibit from the top of the stairs. At the International Species Conservation Research Center "Forest of Rare Species", you can see rare birds from Okinawa and around the world (10:00–17:15).

See the bird performance show and red pandas

Every day at 11:00 and 14:30, a bird performance show features birds of prey such as Harris's hawks and Eurasian eagle-owls, as well as parrots. In rain it changes to a photo session with the birds, and you cannot enter or leave the venue during the performance. At the red panda exhibit next to the café you can watch the adorable red pandas, and you can enjoy meals and souvenir shopping at the Café & Shop.

Ride the light railway around the park

A train recreating the old Okinawa Light Railway circles the park in about 20 minutes, offering views of the whole park. This product includes admission only, so the light railway can be ridden for a separate fee paid on site.
