[Special Deal] Okinawa Southern Bus Tour (Cape Chinen, Miibaru Beach, Okinawa World, Senagajima Island)

I booked this southern Okinawa bus tour on a bit of a whim, but it turned out to be one of the most relaxing days of my trip. The route is brilliant—you get a mix of scenic spots like Cape Chinen, proper beach time at Mibaru, and then a completely different vibe at Okinawa World with the caves and traditional culture.

The highlight for me was Senaga Island at the end. It’s the kind of place where you sit with an iced coffee, watch planes drift in over the water, and suddenly feel like you could happily stay another week.



The tour was well-paced, not rushed at all, and the staff were friendly without being over the top. If you want an easy, no-stress way to see the best of southern Okinawa in one go, this is absolutely spot on. I’d recommend it to anyone.

For the glass-bottom boat, the guide asked who wanted to ride just before we got off at Mibaru Beach, so we paid 1,500 yen in cash and boarded! The coral and fish were beautiful. The weather was nice, so it was great for the boat ride. The sea was calm, too. Also, since the Okinawa World admission ticket was included, it was nice not having the hassle of buying tickets. Additionally, don't eat at Okinawa World; go to the Itoman Fish Market instead. There is a food court there! The buffet at Okinawa World is expensive and... not tasty, so please eat somewhere else. At Umikaji Terrace on Senaga Island, there are many pretty cafes and restaurants, but if you go to Galileus? at the very end opposite the parking lot, they sell sparkling hibiscus tea with edible flower jelly and various other teas; you definitely need to try them. They are pretty and delicious. It's also a great place to take photos. If you zone out, you can see various airplanes and fighter jets flying around. Oh, and although the guide was Chinese, they spoke Japanese well, so it's fine if you can speak Japanese! Since it was a tour focused on China, there were a lot of Chinese people, but the atmosphere was nice. It seems like some foreigners visit too, haha. I recommend it!

I visited Okinawa with my parents without a rental car! However, I didn't want to do the other tours because I didn't like the places they visited and there weren't many activities. I really hesitated because the guide only spoke Chinese and Japanese, but I decided to participate with the mindset that I would take responsibility and lead the group myself. I was touched to see that the female guide spoke simple English and kept looking out for us so we wouldn't feel left out! This course was great because we could ride a see-through boat at Sunayama Beach and explored the area more thoroughly than just visiting typical tourist spots. I highly recommend it!

I had already been to Northern Okinawa, so I booked a Southern tour. The destinations have different charms, and I am extremely satisfied because I was able to travel comfortably by bus. 👍
