Called "Japan's last unexplored frontier," Iriomote Island is nearly 90% undeveloped jungle. Paddle your SUP into nature lush with mangroves and explore subtropical scenery with a different ecosystem at each field. Once you set off, you will understand right away why it is called a frontier.

No worries even on your first SUP

SUP can be enjoyed standing or sitting, so anyone can try it. Highly stable boards and safe fields are used, so first-timers are welcome. In fact, most participants are new to SUP. You wear safety gear such as a life jacket and special shoes, and the guide supports you.

Head to the best field for the day's wind and tide

Meet your guide at Uehara Port or your hotel in the Uehara area in the morning (09:00) or afternoon (13:30). Ride in the PiPi vehicle for about 10 minutes to the tour field, get ready, and enjoy SUP for about 1 hour 30 minutes. The guide chooses the field based on the day's wind, tide and crowds. The tour takes about 2 hours including transfers.

If your schedule allows, the afternoon tour is recommended as it is usually less crowded than the morning tour.

Photo data and hot shower included

You receive the photo data taken by the guide during the tour. Rental of all SUP equipment and safety gear, and a hot shower after the tour, are included in the price. Participants also receive a special page with coupons for local restaurants and information on hidden spots.
