Cruise the mangrove forest by SUP or canoe

Choose between SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding), a new activity drawing attention worldwide, and canoeing, a classic Okinawa activity, to explore Iriomote's mangrove forest. The guide gives a careful briefing before you start, so first-timers are welcome. SUP is for ages 12 and up, so please choose the canoe if you are with younger children.

Take a break, then explore the jungle at night

After the mangrove tour, return to Uehara Port or your accommodation for a break before setting off on the night tour. Make your way through the jungle with a single flashlight and look for creatures found only on Iriomote Island. Exploring the jungle at night is an experience only for those staying on Iriomote Island.

Along with the jungle exploration, enjoy the night sky of Iriomote Island, known as a dark sky reserve. Safety gear and your guide are with you throughout.
