Ride a canoe, Iriomote Island's signature activity, and slowly explore the mangrove forest in the early morning. The area gets busy with visitors during the day, but in the early morning you can enjoy the quiet forest and fresh air in peace.

Watch the sun rise from your canoe

Head out onto the water while it is still dark before sunrise and feel the passage of time as the sky gradually brightens. The colors of the sky change every few minutes, so the same view never comes twice. Enjoy canoeing while watching the morning sun at sunrise time.

Depart with your guide from Uehara Port or your hotel

Meet your guide at Uehara Port or your hotel in the Uehara area and travel to the field in a PiPi vehicle. About 10 minutes later you arrive at the field, get ready and start canoeing. Afterwards you are taken back to Uehara Port or your hotel. The tour takes about 2 hours including transfers.

First-timers can join with confidence

Most participants are first-time canoeists. You will be equipped with safety gear such as a life jacket and special shoes, and the guide will support you throughout. You will also receive photo data taken during the tour.

※ Depending on the wind direction, tide and crowd conditions on the day, you will be guided to the best field, and the tour may take place on the sea instead of in the mangrove forest.
