This Lan Ha Bay day cruise picks you up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter or Cat Ba Town and boards at Beo pier. After a welcome drink and briefing, sail past Cai Beo floating village into the heart of Lan Ha Bay, then enjoy lunch on board, a visit to Viet Hai village, swimming, kayaking and a sunset party. English and Vietnamese-speaking guides accompany you on the boat.
The Hanoi option picks you up between 7:00 and 7:30 AM and travels about 3 hours by bus, including a coastal drive from Cai Vieng port to Beo port. The Cat Ba option picks you up from your hotel in Cat Ba Town between 10:15 and 10:30 AM.
Sail past Cai Beo floating village into the bay
The boat passes Cai Beo, a fishing village with floating houses beneath the hillside, said to have a 7,000-year history. Continue into the heart of Lan Ha Bay, where hundreds of rocky islets rise from deep emerald waters, and have lunch on board.
Enjoy free time in Viet Hai village
Disembark at Viet Hai port and ride an electric car or bicycle to the old village of Viet Hai. During free time, try a fish foot massage, look around well-preserved traditional houses, or chat with local villagers.
Swim, kayak and enjoy a sunset party
Back on board, head out into the bay to jump into the clear water, swim, ride the slide or explore by kayak. On the way back to Beo pier, end the day with a sunset party with fresh fruit, biscuits and tea. Drinks can be purchased on board.
From Beo pier, the bus takes you back to the starting point in Hanoi Old Quarter. With the Cat Ba option, you return to your hotel in Cat Ba Town.
