Leave from a hotel in District 1 or the meeting point and ride about 1.5 hours in an air-conditioned private vehicle to the Cu Chi Tunnels. This is a private tour for your group only, with an English-speaking guide who explains the history of Cu Chi and its tunnels step by step. The tour lasts about 6 hours, including the tunnel visit, a cassava tasting and an optional shooting range.
Learn the tunnels' story through a documentary
The tour starts with your guide giving a short introduction to Cu Chi and its legendary history. You then watch a documentary film about the tunnels to learn how they were built and about the fierce battles fought in this area during the war.
Crawl through the narrow underground tunnels
Follow your guide through the tunnel system, including the weapons factory, hospital and kitchen. You can crawl through a narrow tunnel yourself and learn how the guerrillas' traps and secret entrances worked.
Taste cassava and visit the shooting range
Taste cassava (manioc), the staple food of the Cu Chi guerrillas during the war. If you like, you can fire an AK47, MK16 or machine gun at the nearby shooting range (extra cost). Afterwards, return to Ho Chi Minh City by car.
