The tour starts with pickup from your hotel in central Ho Chi Minh City, or a meeting at the designated spot, between 7:30 and 8:00 AM. You then travel about 1 hour 30 minutes to the Cu Chi Tunnels in an air-conditioned vehicle.
Explore the Cu Chi Tunnels used during the Vietnam War
Tour the underground tunnel network used during the Vietnam War with your guide and learn about its history and design. In a selected section, you can crawl through the tunnel yourself. If you wish, you can also try historic weapons at the shooting range (bullets at extra cost).
Enjoy a Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant
After the tunnels, you have a Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant. Vegetarian (vegan) meals are available on request. After lunch, you head to My Tho in the heart of the Mekong Delta.
Meet a coconut village by Mekong cruise and sampan boat
Cruise along the Mekong River, watch local life on the riverbanks and relax in the peaceful countryside. Then ride a sampan (traditional rowboat) along narrow canals lined with coconut trees, visit a local family home, taste fresh fruit and honey tea, and listen to traditional folk music played by villagers.
At the end of the day you return to Ho Chi Minh City, arriving between 6:30 and 7:00 PM.
