This sake-hopping tour takes you by private taxi to two of Kitakyushu's beloved liquor shops at twilight. Since you'll be drinking sake, there's no need to drive or find your way in an unfamiliar city: the taxi takes you straight from your hotel lobby to each stop. Taste local sake while watching the sunset and harbor views at SAKE terrace MOJIKO, a stylish liquor shop by the Mojiko seaside, then mingle with regulars over sake and rustic snacks at Hayashida Saketen, a shop long loved by locals. It's a 3-hour itinerary that's perfect before dinner.

You are picked up at 15:00 at your hotel lobby in the Kokura or Mojiko area, visit SAKE terrace MOJIKO and Hayashida Saketen in order, and the tour ends on site at 18:00. The private taxi is for your group only, so getting around is easy even after drinking sake. No guide accompanies the tour; the Japanese driver communicates using a translation app (English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese).

Located by the Mojiko seaside, SAKE terrace MOJIKO offers a chic, modern twist on traditional liquor shop culture. Bathed in beautiful sunsets and natural light, it's a photogenic spot to enjoy regional sake in the harbor's romantic atmosphere. You stay about 60 minutes.
The tasting set of three carefully selected local sake varieties is popular (from 1,000 yen). You can also buy a bottle you like to enjoy back at your hotel.

Hayashida Saketen is a historic liquor shop long loved by the local community. In its nostalgic atmosphere, share the space with the friendly shopkeeper and regulars as you sample regional brews and rustic snacks, and feel Kitakyushu's warm hospitality up close. You stay about 60 minutes.
