This is a small-group guided tour of Dharavi slum and Dhobi Ghat lasting about 2.5 hours. A local guide who grew up in Dharavi leads the tour in English, with up to 9 participants. During the tour you can also ride a Mumbai local train. The tour starts at Third Wave Coffee in Mahim and ends at Mahalaxmi Station.

Walk into Dharavi with your guide and see how residents make a living, where families live, and where children play and rest. You also look around the many industries operating inside Dharavi, such as plastic recycling, leather, garments and textiles, and metal work, and hear about the local economy, said to be worth 1 billion US dollars a year.
You also visit places inside Dharavi where the movie "Slumdog Millionaire" was filmed. The tour aims to break stereotypes about slums and show the real face of this place.
