Highlights
Make a one-of-a-kind silver ring yourself at Taisho Roman-kan Grace, a ring workshop just a 1-minute walk from Senso-ji Temple. Combine material, shape, width and texture to choose a ring that suits your taste from more than 60 design combinations. Staff prepare the tools and help with the final finishing, so even first-timers can complete a ring in about 40 minutes. It is a great way to mark a special day with a partner, family or friends, and you take your finished ring home the same day.
Program
Choose your own silver ring design
at a ring workshop in Asakusa
After being shown to your seat, you choose your ring design (about 10 minutes). Materials are Silver 925 (glossy or matte) and Pink Silver (glossy only), and shapes are the softly rounded Koumaru or the flat, stylish Hirauchi. The basic plan is Silver 925 with a 1.5 mm width (Hirauchi only); other widths can be chosen for an additional fee paid on site.
Anneal and polish, then add texture while sizing
Once staff have prepared the tools, you anneal the metal to soften it and polish it (10–15 minutes). Then you add texture while adjusting the size (5–10 minutes). Silver 925 offers 4 surface textures and Pink Silver offers 2.
Receive your finished ring after the staff's final touches
Staff do the final finishing (5–10 minutes) and then hand over your finished ring. If you chose any add-ons, you pay for them on site at the end. Engraving is available for widths of 2.5 mm or more (3 mm or more for kanji) for an additional on-site fee.
