From Paris: Champagne House Day Tour with Reims Cathedral (Hotel Pickup)

Leave from your accommodation in Paris
for Champagne, the home of champagne

After pickup from your hotel or accommodation in Paris, travel about 2 hours by air-conditioned minibus to the Champagne region. On the way, your English-speaking guide shares the history, traditions and winemaking heritage of champagne. This is a small-group tour of up to 8 people.

Explore the underground cellars of a famous champagne house

Visit one of the famous champagne houses such as Moët & Chandon, Mercier, Veuve Clicquot, Taittinger or Nicolas Feuillatte (depending on availability on the day) and tour the underground cellars with a guide for about 1 hour 30 minutes. Learn about the traditional champagne-making process and taste champagne.

See Reims Cathedral and the Avenue de Champagne in Épernay

Spend about 20 minutes at Reims Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where French kings were crowned, and learn about its Gothic architecture and royal history. In Épernay, enjoy a traditional 3-course French lunch at a local restaurant and take photos along the Avenue de Champagne, lined with historic champagne mansions.

Taste at a small family-run winery

In the afternoon, visit a small producer's champagne house and a family-run winery to discover traditional winemaking that differs from the big houses, with tastings. In the vineyards, enjoy a blind tasting to learn how to tell different types of sparkling wine apart. At the end of the day, drive about 2 hours back to Paris and get dropped off at your original pickup point.

※ The champagne houses visited and the order of visits may vary by date and operating conditions.
※ Vineyard visits may not be possible due to weather or seasonal operations.
