From Paris: Champagne Houses & Reims Cathedral Small-Group Tour (Hotel Pickup)

Leave your Paris accommodation
for the home of champagne

Around 8:00 am you are picked up at your hotel or accommodation in Paris and travel about 2 hours to the Champagne region in an air-conditioned minibus. On the way, your English-speaking guide introduces the history of champagne, its royal heritage and the secrets behind its worldwide fame.

Explore the cellars of a famous champagne house

In Épernay, the heart of the region, visit one of the famous champagne houses such as Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Taittinger, Mercier, Nicolas Feuillatte or Boizel (or another renowned producer, depending on availability). Tour the historic cellars, learn about the traditional méthode champenoise and taste champagne.

Compare champagnes at a family producer and in the vineyards

Meet a local grower at a small family-run champagne house, tour their cellars and compare their cuvées with those of the big houses. In the vineyards, your guide explains grape varieties and terroir, and when possible you take part in a blind tasting set against the vines to learn how to tell champagne styles apart. For lunch, enjoy a three-course French meal of seasonal regional dishes at a local restaurant.

Stop at the Avenue de Champagne and Reims Cathedral

Spend about 20 minutes on Épernay's Avenue de Champagne, lined with champagne houses, and about 30 minutes with your guide at Notre-Dame de Reims Cathedral. At the end of the day, return to Paris by minibus with drop-off at your accommodation.

※ The champagne houses visited may vary depending on the date and operating schedules.
※ The order of visits and travel times may change due to traffic, weather and local conditions.
