From Paris: Reims & Épernay Champagne House Tour (Max 8, Small Group, Hotel Pickup)

Travel from Paris to Champagne
in a small-group minivan

After pickup from your accommodation in central Paris, travel for about 2 hours through the French countryside to the Champagne region in an air-conditioned minivan. This small-group tour has a maximum of 8 participants, and your local driver-guide shares stories and history of the Champagne region throughout the day.

Visit Reims Cathedral

In the historic city of Reims, visit Notre-Dame de Reims, a masterpiece of French Gothic architecture and the traditional coronation site of French kings. Spend about 25 minutes with your guide admiring the architecture and learning about its history.

Tour Champagne cellars and enjoy tastings

Visit a family-run Champagne producer for a guided cellar tour, learn about traditional production methods passed down through generations, and taste their Champagne. Then visit one of the famous Champagne houses such as Veuve Clicquot, Moët & Chandon, Taittinger or Nicolas Feuillatte (subject to availability) to learn about its history and expertise, followed by another guided tasting.

Compare the aromas and flavors of different sparkling wines in a blind tasting, and watch a traditional sabrage demonstration, the art of opening a Champagne bottle with a saber.

Stroll along the Avenue de Champagne in Épernay

Walk along Épernay's Avenue de Champagne, lined with grand Champagne houses and historic mansions, and take photos. Lunch is during free time at a restaurant or café of your choice, and your guide will recommend local options. At the end of the tour, return to Paris by minivan.

※ The itinerary may change depending on traffic, weather and the availability of Champagne houses.
※ Participants under 18 are served grape juice instead of Champagne or alcohol.
