Skip the long lines and enter the Catacombs of Paris, the underground ossuary where about 6 million Parisians rest. In a small group of up to 14 people (6 at some times), walk with an English-speaking guide through tunnels decorated with skulls and bones and hear how the catacombs were built and how remains were moved here in a vast transfer project. Special access also takes you into restricted areas closed to regular visitors, such as an underground chapel decorated with skulls and femurs.

Meet your guide at Café du Rendez-Vous near Place Denfert-Rochereau and walk to the Catacombs of Paris. With a priority entry ticket you skip the long queue and descend 130 steps into the underground cemetery. The tour lasts about 2 hours.

Kilometers of underground tunnels hold the skulls and bones of about 6 million people. Each space reveals ever more elaborate and eerie bone arrangements and quarrymen's sculptures, while your guide explains how the catacombs were built and how remains from all over the city were transferred here in a huge project.

With special access, a guard opens the doors just for your group and you enter restricted areas not normally open to the public, such as a secret underground chapel decorated with skulls and femurs.

The Catacombs of Paris hold remains representing about 2,000 years of history, and building the ossuary was a unique civil engineering project that helped shape the modern city. The tour ends at the catacombs exit (1 Av. du Colonel Henri Rol-Tanguy).
※ Group size is up to 14 or 6 people depending on the departure time. Groups of 6 are available at 1:30 PM, 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM.
