Meet your guide and group at Place Denfert-Rochereau near the Catacombs entrance. A timed-entry ticket is included, so you skip the long daily ticket line and go straight in. Descend a long staircase into a maze of tunnels first created as limestone quarries in the Middle Ages, as your guide explains how these abandoned mines became a resting place for Parisians when the city's cemeteries overflowed.

Walk through corridors lined with bones

Pass through the famous bone-lined corridors filled with skulls and femurs from floor to ceiling. The remains were once arranged in crosses, hearts and arches, and you'll learn how the bones of countless Parisians support the tunnels overhead.

See the Barrel of Passion and 2 restricted areas

Deeper inside, stand before the Barrel of Passion, a skull structure in the underground Crypt of Passion, as your guide tells stories of secret midnight concerts once held here. Then a guard unlocks an iron gate to let you into 2 restricted areas that regular visitors cannot enter, along with the lower Catacombs.
